Raising a family is a tough job. Raising a family while starting, owning and running a business? Well, that’s just super human strength. However, mothers switching from corporate to start-up are a new trend on the rise. Just last year, more than 16,000 women-owned businesses made up this growing niche, according to the Orange County Business Journal. This is why Parenting OC dedicates November to celebrating some accomplished mompreneurs in the county.
This issue features six moms — five businesses — whose businesses are thriving and whose families are growing in tandem. From raw food chef and culinary expert, Jenny Ross to Sparklemoms, Clarissa Zulick and Kristin Simpkins, who create birthstone jewelry, this year’s list of mompreneurs showcases mothers-turned-businesswomen in a variety genres.
