Giselle Baturay is a regular Jack-of-all-trades — herbalist, aromatherapist, reiki practioner, prenatal and postpartum educator, etc. — but, her biggest roles are wife, mother and mompreneur.
Owner of Granola Babies, this mother of three — soon to be four— developed a store dedicated to providing families with a one-stop shop for products and services needed to maintain natural living and parenting needs. The store has two lcations, in Costa Mesa and Long Beach, and offers community classes as well as eco-friendly products. “Having been a new parent raising my baby green and natural, I knew there weren’t many stores to purchase unique products and also receive natural parenting resources,” explained Baturay. “So, I wanted a place to create for other parents a one-stop shop and resource center to learn how to grow green and happy babies.”
Born in the Dominican Republic to an herbalist mother, Baturay’s roots are in natural living. However, it wasn’t until she had her own children that she decided to create a business. “Much of the products we offer and the classes and events we host come from what we’ve used with them.” Everything that Granola Babies sells is tried and tested by Baturay and her family.
