Q: [Parents] I feel unappreciated at home. I’m hoping this Mother’s Day I get the appreciation I deserve, but if this doesn’t happen, I’ll be heartbroken. How do I let my family know I feel like I’m being taken for granted?
A: If you were running a company, you would be respected and appreciated by your employees. You would make the rules and everyone would follow. Ideally, your employees would be anxious to please you. You would get a good night’s sleep, have uninterrupted coffee breaks, eat hot meals, be able to go home from your job and get positive feedback for a job well done. You would be able to see the fruits of your labor in the products you produce each day. One of the hottest topics in the parenting circuit today stem from the challenges some couples face before the baby is born. Fertility challenges affect 1 in 8 American couples, according to the American Fertility Association (AFA) and is a subject that is gaining more popularity, as more families and even celebrities such as Giuliana Rancic, Khloe Kardashian, Nicole Kidman and Mariah Carey are willing to discuss the challenges and treatments. Though many think that fertility problems are just for first-time parents, more than one million couples who already have children experience infertility when they want to add to their families, according to the National Survey of Family Growth, and is something that everyone who wants children needs to be aware of.
