Parenting OC’s ninth Pampered Lady Cruise set sail on July 25 in Newport Harbor with more than 140 women. The luau-themed event helped to fight breast cancer, as a portion of the ticket sales went to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Orange County.
The cruise took place aboard Hornblower Cruises and Events’ three-deck luxury yacht, “Endless Dreams.” The yacht has been featured on “CSI Miami” and HBO’s TV series “Entourage.” The Pampered Lady Cruise is a ladies-only three-hour getaway filled with food, entertainment and pampering treatments. There were a variety of relaxing and entertaining festivities, including hair styling, makeup application, foot and body massage, psychic readings and blackjack tables. Hula dancers from Hula Connection were a hit among the ladies. The dance floor was filled with those who wanted to learn the native dance. Attendees also had a chance to receive head-to-toe pampering treatments—a mini makeover, if you will.
“I received a spray tan, a henna tattoo and a complete makeover on my hair and makeup,” said Katie Meyers, of Yorba Linda. This whole experience is amazing and I can’t wait to come to the next cruise in October.”
Janeane Bernstein, host of “Momz Rock the House,” emceed the event. Many women tried their luck at the blackjack tables. Raffle prizes won included a skin care basket from Lilliana–A Skin Care Boutique, a four-hour casino party from High Roller Casino Rentals, a gift basket of hair products from Armando, a Joshua Christopher Sal
on, and a one-hour spa treatment of choice from Hyatt Resort and Spa in Huntington Beach.“I have enjoyed myself all day as soon as I walked on the boat I was greeted with complementary champagne and chocolates from Dove Chocolate Discoveries. This was my first time on the cruise and I am definitely coming back,” said Michelle Tucker, of Huntington Beach. “It is great to see such a great group of woman take a day for themselves to relax and have fun.”
