My name is Manna Kadar, new beauty blogger for Parenting OC Magazine.  With over 15 years in the beauty industry, I have dedicated my life to not only having beauty be my livelihood with a cosmetics store chain and currently with my tanning salon & spas called Island Tan, I have made it a personal mission to find the best  products & services available to make beauty a breeze.

With Halloween around the corner, we all want to look out best, especially those who are taking this rare opportunity to wear a more risqué costume.  What is the magic formula to instantly look 10 lbs slimmer and give the appearance of a more firm and toned physique?  A spray tan!  With major technological advances, one can achieve a beautifully bronzed color that lasts 7-10 days.  To prove this to you, I am bravely posting a picture of me freshly sprayed at a convention.  There are 2 types of spray tans: Booth Sprays & Custom Airbrushing.  With a booth spray, a machine coats you with a color, lasts 5 days and costs about $30.  A Custom Airbrush Tan requires a professional airbrush technician to spray every inch of you, giving a more detailed result and costs approximately $45-$65.  I have even had my abs and legs contoured before.  The best thing about a custom airbrush tan is that you immediately look slimmer and imperfections such as cellulite, and veins magically disappear.  It definitely beats trying to hit the gym one week before a big event.  Here are some tips before spray tanning:

-          Prep your skin by Showering, Shaving, Exfoliating & do not put any lotions on

-          Wear loose dark clothing

-          Allow up to 8 hours for the solution to set

-          Make sure you choose a salon with superior solution that does not have any alcohol in it.  Alcohol is what turns your color orange and is found in cheaper solutions

Now, its time to flaunt your newly bronzed and svelte figures around town this weekend.  Look for me in my SuperManna costume whizzing by.
