Who would take their kid antique shopping? I would! and so should you! Find out more about our fun day trip to the City of Orange.

Who would take their kid antique shopping??

ME!!

Martin and I decided to spend yesterday in the City of Orange.

We are particularly fond of two of the sixty antique shops in the area.

Our first stop is ALWAYS the Chapman Antique Mall. This shop is extra special because 1) It is very organized (and doesn't stink) and 2) It has a Disney dealer that carries Disneyland artifacts.

Our second stop is the Orange Circle Antique Mall. This is a huge, two story shop with lots of dealers that carry childrens' antiques and collectibles.

After we were done "antiquing", we crossed into the center of the town where there is a beautiful memorial fountain with benches surrounding it. It is a little scary as it really is in the middle of a round-about, so I kept a very careful eye on my little, fast, one.

If you are up for it, many people sit and eat a picnic lunch here... but not us....

Our last stop, and Martins' favorite, was Watson Soda Fountain.

Watsons' has been open for over 100 years!! This 50's style diner serves up All American food. The other half of the store is an actual pharmacy and drug store. You can't help but feel like you are in a small town when you walk into Watsons'!

Martin and I sat at the counter and he enjoyed a Grilled Cheese and Fruit, served in a Pink Cadillac (similar to what you get from Ruby's). Somehow he talked me into getting him a green soda, which put a smile on his face like no other.

Beautiful city, beautiful day.
