I don't know about you, but I'm tired. Back to school has me wiped out. I'm looking for ways to have fun with my family, and squeezing fun in between school, afterschool activities, homework and down time (not

to mention work, chores and errands) leaves precious little time for a family outing.  But I'm trying! Promise me that you'll try, too?

The following events take the pressure off of you regarding what are we doing on Saturday night. I like to feel like I've done something on Saturday night. Diesn't have to be expensive date night - just something so I know it's not Tuesday.

These may be your last chance of the season for an inexpensive outdoor movie evening. Both are on Saturday so you'll have to choose:

In Laguna Niguel, they're screening "Up" at Crown Valley Community Park, 29751 Crown Valley Pkwy, at 7:30 p.m. FREE. Some snacks for sale or bring a picnic. Bring tissues.

And in Laguna Beach, the folks at the Aliso Creek Inn and Golf Course are screening "How to Train Your Dragon" at 7 p.m. FREE admission. And a chance to check out this historical property that winds back into Aliso Canyon. 31106 S Coast Hwy. They are selling food - including hot meals - feel free to bring your own.

And, basic rules for outdoor movie-going:

1. Don't be the lame family in lawn chairs. Bring your beach chair. Or blankets to sit on.

2. Dress warmly. Bring extra shawls and blankets.

3. Make sure everyone goes potty before the movie starts.

4. Bring healthy snacks for everyone (mom & dad included.)

Let me know if you go!
