Phineas and Ferb Phor Phree!! Contest

Readers of Get Out of the House and Parenting OC can enter a contest for amazing free tickets brought to you by yours truly and the kind and lovely people at Feld Entertainment who are bringing Disney's Phineas and Ferb LIVE: The Best Tour Ever! to theaters around the country this fall.

Some cartoons, well, don't hold my interest. And some hold my interest but not my girls'. One cartoon that we agree on is Phineas and Ferb. The adventurous step-brothers are smart and banter in a way that pleases both me and my girls. (Unlike some other cartoons where the characters just whine or are plain ol' rude.)

So here's the dealeo: Phineas and Ferb LIVE is coming to Long Beach's Terrace Theater on Saturday, September 24 (4:00 and 7:00 p.m. shows) and Sunday, September 25 (1:00 p.m.)

Tell me what you or your kids like about Phineas and Ferb and win a Phamily Phour Pack of Tickets to whichever Long Beach performance you want to attend. If you're not familiar with Phineas and Ferb yet but want to get better acquainted with them, tell me your favorite, "You won't believe what my kid did..." story.

I'll pick 2 winners next Thursday (each winner gets 4 tix), so get your comments in by 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14. Comments don't post automatically, so don't panic when you don't see them go up - I have to hit the "Post Comment" button.

PS: I know times are tough for many out there. I'm trying to bring you as many contests as possible b/c I know "family entertainment" is one of the first categories slashed on tight budgets. If you don't win the tix, make time to do something fun with your kids/family - even if it's just watching cartoons on TV and having a TV dinner picnic (always a hit at our house.) It's not the size of the event that we share with our kids - it's the fact that we share our time and our attention with them.

i can't POSSIBLY tell you why my kids like phineaus and ferb, but that show is like a drug t them. in fact, i thought we were closeters...anyway, I, personally, (their mother) like the show for one reason: theirs was the first show i recorded by myself on the dvr. xo

My two boys LOVE this show. Two brothers creating way cool science things that every boy would want in his back yard and thwarting evil and driving your sister nuts at the same time. Yes my two have actually tried to recreate the contraptions only to be dissappointed that things aren't as they appear on TV. So the tour show would help them get over that disappointment

My kids like phineaus and ferb.. One of their best shows ever. My oldest son who is 11 yrs old a big fan for this show. He even like his faviorte shirt that has their photo . It will be so fun if we win!!

It's a show for the whole family. Our favorite is when Candace has squirrels in her pants. Now whenever we see a squirrel, we all start singing like her: "Squirrels Squirrels, I've got Squirrels in my pants!"

I just have to win these tickets so I can get in on the secret language my kids speak to each other. They go off on these long tangents, crack each other up, and then when I ask them what they are talking about, they roll their eyes, look at me and say, "of course it's from Phineas and Ferb, mom!!". It seems I am already out of touch with my children, one of which started KG just last week. She loves the show so much! My husband agrees with them that it is the best cartoon out there!! I need to get in on their secret!

Okay the whole family loves Phineas and Ferb so much we are thinking of building our own Platybus! My husband can be evil Dr. Duffenshwartz, I will be Linda (formerly known as Lindona) singing my way around and of course our daughter will play the dual parts of Perry and Agent P. I am thinking of a few friends that will remain nameless at this point that can fill in for the others. Our house is a 24/7 musical show anyway so this just blends in with our life!
