Hi Everybody,

Well, summer is in full swing and I hope you and your family are able to get out and enjoy it!  We've already been to the beach more times than all of last (non) summer.  July 4th was a picture perfect day with the water temps rising above 70 for sure. How do I know?  I was the cool mom who went in and played with the kids for nearly an hour.  And I don't go in when its cold!

I try to alternate beach/pool days with indoor activities (including work!) - none of us need to be in the sun every day. We'll be experiencing Midieval Times next week, not to mention visiting the Laguna Art Museum for their Noguchi exhibit, the Discovery Center and the Bowers' Kideseum's open house in August.

One thing we did last summer that was great - it had been nearly 30 years since I had last done it - was go to the circus.  The real circus.  You know, Ringling Bros, Barnum & Bailey. Lions and tigers and elephants and trapeze artists and way too many clowns getting out of the teeny tiny car. It was just like I remembered, only better, because as an adult I could really appreciate the skill and talent of the performers. The smell of peanuts, popcorn and giant animals filled the air. It was exciting. And live. Right in front of us.  No CGI effects. Awesome.

The circus is coming back to Anaheim for a 10 day engagement.  And I am happy to say that I have a four pack of tickets for opening night to give away. The tickets are for Wednesday night, July 27, 7:30 p.m. at the Honda Center (not exchangeable for a different performance.) Hello, people: this is the GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH - for FREE!!
